Brand & Print Design for NAIROBI CITY THUNDER.

When Nairobi City Thunder qualified for the Basketball Africa League (BAL), they entered a new level of visibility and expectation. The brand needed to feel confident, consistent, and ready for a continental stage.

I partnered with them to strengthen their visual presence across social media, merchandize, and key presentations.

Visual Identity for IJSC.

The Institute for Journalism and Social Change (IJSC) exists to unite journalists, researchers, and activists to enhance impact, inclusion, and innovation for social change.

Each element of the visual identity, from logo, typography and website was crafted to reflect its commitment to centering historically marginalized voices and challenging traditional journalism paradigms.

Logo Design for MASI MEDIA.

As a media company dedicated to telling the stories of African women, MASI Media aims to challenge the marginalization and stereotypes of African women imposed by a Eurocentric perspective.

At first glance, the logo’s angular lines and geometric patterns might seem random, but they are, in fact, stylized versions of the letters M A S I.

The sharp angles, curves and dots symbolize movement and inertia, the spirit of the women whose craft and artistry propel the continent forward.

When we were launching our company in 2019, Tettey came highly recommended for his consultative approach to design. Through his efficacious process, attention to detail and boundless creativity, we were presented with a classic, distinctive branding kit that is recognizable anywhere.
